For those of you that ever wandered what it would be like to teach at a university in Japan, this may be for you. Not only have I been teaching at a Japanese university for more than 10 years but it just so happens to be a Japanese university for women.
Before I was employed at the university I am now at, I worked as a part-time English instructor at some other local universities while getting my degree from Temple University Japan. I am fortunate to be able to stay at my university for such a length of time since most other universities offer only limited term contracts for English instructors.
In these posts, I will share:
- the work experience of having a job at a university
- the experiences that I have had teaching my students
- the experiences that I have had interacting with my students
- some viewpoints that Japanese university women have
